suppliers, to moulding and assembly, and finally packaging of the many products

machinery equipment, has allowed vertical integration of manufacturing -
ensuring direct quality control of the complete programme. |

| JSP's own internal Research and Development Department
is responsible for designing and realising all of the company's new products
and the continued improvement of existing products. The Research and Development
team use a mix of traditional and current techniques to develop these products. |

| The highly dedicated R&D team has over 25
years combined experience. The R&D facility comprises an open plan 'think-tank'
style office and a fully equipped model-making Workshop. |

| World Wide Performance Specifications Every
JSP product is manufactured and conforms to appropriate British, European
and International performance specifications. To meet our customer's needs
and expectations in terms of total product quality and quality of service,
our Quality Policy applies to every aspect of our business. As well as producing
products that meet various product standards, we also operate a Quality
Management System (QMS) that meets and is registered by the British Standards
Institute (BSI) to ISO 9001:2000. |

| In our extensive BSI certified Test Laboratory,
the JSP Quality Department ensures that all products comply to the appropriate
standard. We have made a substantial investment in custom-designed test
equipment. It is continually updated so that our products are tested to
the most recent product standards. Our test equipment is extensive because
JSP manufacture such a wide range of safety products. |

| For example, we have equipment for shooting
high speed particles at eyewear, dropping masses on to helmets, drawing
dust particles through masks, projecting sound at ear defenders, measuring
light reflected by barrier boards and the stability of the traffic cones.
As well as carrying out routine testing, our Quality Department personnel
also use their extensive experience to assist the R & D Department in the
design of new products and test them to the relevant product standard. All
this is in addition to the testing that is carried out by independent test
houses to ensure compliance for CE Marking. |
